MORE GOOD BLUEGRASS COMING TO BILLINGS AND THE REST OF MONTANA

Thanks to Phyllis Erck, Greg Cahill and Special Consensus are scheduled to perform in Billings during the Ruby Jewell Jamboree series. They will be at the Billings Hampton Inn on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Missoula and Great Falls are also part of Special Consensus “Montana Skies Tour.”  Other Jamboree bands include Hot Rize with Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers on July 14th, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado, plus Dale Ann Bradley on September 13th all in Missoula. Scroggins will also play in Billings on August 13th and Gold Heart featuring the three Gold sisters and their father will be Billings on September 18th.  Added to already announced performances 2015 is shaping up to be a good year for bluegrass in Montana.

Hot Rize with such stalwarts as Tim O'Brien and Pete Wernick were one of my favorite bluegrass bands 20 years ago. Then they began adding a second feature to the performances as "Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers." They would put down their acoustic instruments and come out electrified doing country stuff. They have now put the old band together and are performing together again.  It should be an especially good show with lots of nostalgia in Missoula on July 14th.
